Soon. Hopefully.<\/p>\n<p>In 1997 I decided to start my own structure editor and called it JChemPaint. Soon after, <a href=\"http:\/\/chem-bla-ics.blogspot.com\/2008\/10\/jchempaint-history-cml-patches-in-1999.html\" target=\"_blank\">documented here<\/a>, Egon joined and a lot of open cheminformatics developed afterwards. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Now, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ebi.ac.uk\/steinbeck\" target=\"_blank\">my team<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.farmbio.uu.se\/researchgroup.php?fg=1\" target=\"_blank\">Bioclipse guys at Uppsala<\/a>, are at work designing and implementing JChemPaint 3.0, which will have a modular design, various renderers and a production-quality applet. Or so the theory goes.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ebi.ac.uk\/Information\/Staff\/person_maintx.php?s_person_id=1045\" target=\"_blank\">Gilleain Torrance<\/a> has posted <a href=\"http:\/\/gilleain.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">a number of blog items<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/puttygen.in\">puttygen download<\/a> , also referencing the work of our collaborators in Uppsala, thinking about design patterns which allow us to make the architecture flexible enough to produce a fully fledged structure editor on one side and a less than 100 kb drawing applet on the other side.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8230; point zero.
